How to enable aero on Windows 7 Build 6608?

Is it possible to enable aero on Windows 7 Build 6608 today? I tested with version 10.0 of vmware tools and the graphics driver was installed well, but the aero theme could not be applied. Is there any way to enable aero in this build?

Are you sure that you set the BIOS date correctly? I forgot to set BIOS date in build 7000 and it doesn't let me change the theme.

use 7.1 driver

as LuLu said,use 7.1 driver.

never use 6.5 though.. the aero breaks,as i have experienced... don't know why.
