Trying to contribute, problems getting logging in.

Post by pseudoCK »

So far this is what I put into FileZilla:
Image

I press connect and I get this:

Code: Select all

Status:	Resolving address of releases.betaarchive.com
Status:	Connecting to 94.130.67.140:50000...
Status:	Connection established, initializing TLS...
Error: A certificate in the chain was signed using an insecure algorithm
Error: Received certificate chain could not be verified. Verification status is 2.
Status:	Connection attempt failed with "ECONNABORTED - Connection aborted".
Error: Could not connect to server
Status:	Waiting to retry...
So far I tried to adjusting my router and firewall. Still to no avail. What am I doing wrong?

Edited due to some color issue...

We're aware of this issue with the newest Filezilla version. Unfortunately our FTP server is not compatible with the newer algorithm and Filezilla are no longer allowing you to bypass the issue by dismissing a warning. Our recommendation is to downgrade Filezilla a few versions or use another FTP client.

Now that this issue has arisen, we're fresh out of luck with our existing setup so we're going to look into rebuilding it over HTTPS. This will take time though so for now please try the above.

As of right now, I am using WinSCP which is able to connect to and download files from the FTP server without any issues. Connection setup is extremely simple and straightforward as well.
