UX.Unleaked shows build 4002 with the new taskbar first seen publicly in build 4015.
However, every other source shows 4002 with the old taskbar, even when the sidebar is enabled.
Is there some tweak needed to enable it? If so, would it work on other builds too?
(Note that there is actually a build earlier than 4015 to feature the new taskbar: 3706. It appears as a Sidebar tile instead of a proper taskbar - but it's clearly the new design.)

I used the new taskbar in build 4001. I believe you have to right click in the sidebar, and then select new taskbar. Also, I think the new taskbar is also present in build 3718, and it looks just like build 4001's.

Interestingly while 4001's new taskbar is identical to 3718, 4002's is different. 4002's new taskbar slides under the sidebar (just like the old taskbar), while previous builds had a full-height sidebar and shortened taskbar. The full-height sidebar would return in build 4017 (4015, compiled just 12 days earlier on the same branch, still had the same style as 4002), and remain that way until the reset.

Wow, I didn't even notice that. I'm going to check out those builds again soon.
