EXPLORER.EXE illegal operation

Post by MCpillager12 »

I was installing IE 6 in Windows 95. After the errors, i get an illegal instruction, even in safe mode.
I am using vpc2007, specs:
48MB RAM
12GB HDD
I have also installed VPC2004 additions.

Windows 95 has no support for IE6. You can run IE5, although idk if 5.5 will work on it.

At least, officially, IE5.5 SP2 from 2001 is the last to be supported on Win95. Of course, one can mod stuff to make IE6 work on Win95, but no guarantee it would work without glitches/problems/bugs.
