Windows XP and Blu-ray?

Post by cplyakap »

Question is simple. I have Windows XP and Blu-ray writer internal drive. But Windows XP recognizes it as a DVD-RAM drive. I want to see BD-RE Drive like a newer Windows versions (7, 8, 10 etc.) I searched Windows Feature Pack for Storage 1.0 but I couldn't find anywhere? Is there a possible solution for it? Thanks.

Windows Feature Pack for Storage 1.0 is still offered in the Microsoft Download Center as of right now, but oddly enough only if you set the language to German: https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/downloa ... x?id=19622 (The filename looks like it should be the en-us version, because I also have the German version of this update and that has a different filename.)

Keep in mind, there was 8 years between Windows XP and 7. Blu-Ray drives came out in 2003. I would just say do it on Windows 7.

June 20th, 2006 actually, so the release date was actually three years later.

I just found and used the first release date on Wikipedia but I don’t think XP would run it at all. Secondly, a Blu Ray drive in an XP computer is a huge waste. Just run Vista which does support or Linux

Read this: I got a message saying that the "Windows Feature Pack for Storage" may not be installed
Link for WinXP x64 works. For WinXP x86 try this:
