The SP1 installer of version 2600.1065 doesn't install. If I try to run the installer, it says that the update.inf is invalid, and then setup exits. I tried to replace the update.inf with 2600.1050 (while replacing mentions of 1050 to 1065), but that doesn't work. Is this build even installable, since TCB doesn't list this build at all?
The setup were also run on both the RTM and SP1 1050 beta on VirtualBox, in case you're wondering.

BF10, you may want to change this build's page on BetaWiki.
Because this build is indeed possible to install, my install of this build did not complain about update.inf.
I used Virtual PC 2007, XP RTM and a BIOS date of July 1, 2002.
Build itself has absolutely no differences between 1050 whatsoever, apart from a buildtag on the desktop, which 1050 did not have.

Re: Windows XP SP1 1065 won't install
I have changed the information on BetaWiki. Maybe because it's VirtualBox having problems with the update pack or because of the version of the RTM I'm using. Does this build work on VMWare too?

I have no clue about VMWare, but this being a Service Pack build, it would of course work.
Where did you get your copy of XP RTM from?

From the MSDN section of the Compilations folder on the FTP.
EDIT: I tried it on Virtual PC and I still get the same error. I'm pretty sure it's either my file is corrupt or different or the operating system version needs to be retail.

It does need to be a retail XP RTM, indeed.
