Windows Beta 1.02.02

Has anyone ever heard of this build? TCB does List a windows Version 1.02, but not any beta.

I found it appearently running on a very old computer System currently offenes on eBay. See here:

That's already amazing to see. Also, it's in German too, so it might be one of the earliest non-English pre-release of Windows if not the earliest. Unfortunately I live in the US so it may not ship to there, and it costs $500 here too.

Hum, I asked whether the OS is on a disk or just installed to the Hard Drive. Lets see. But I suppose even if it was on the Hard disk, it could simple be copied to a disk, right?

The seller said, it's installed on the Hard Drive and he doesn't have any disks

Well, if anyone here who happens to live in Germany and has 500€ to spare would be kind enough to buy this and try and get Windows files off that disk, I would be very grateful.

For this to be bought and released, I'd be happy to pay 20-30€ to anyone buying it. Though 500€ is too much for me, maybe together we can gather enough money.

I don't know anything about the vintage computer market, but isn't 500€ a lot? Hopefully the price is negotiable.
Edit: just realized it's the full system not just the tower (duh!) I guess all things considered it's not bad

I don't think 500 euros is that much for a full 1980's computer system...
Besides, this is not the only Windows 1.x beta we know of that is not 1.00 or 1.01:

Well, the price was reduced to 475€.

I asked the seller, if he would be willing to copy the OS for a reasonable price but he never replied. And I suppose the seller wouldn't sell for what I would be willing to pay (which at best is a three-digit amount with a 1 in front).

No. Once the price has dropped enough, I'd probably make an offer. But if it's dropping at this rate, it'll be Summer again by then

It nice to see another Windows 1.00 beta. It beta from Windows 1.02 and Non English Version of Windows 1.02.

Well I have a feeling it will continue to be reduced at this rate, because 400€ for that is still a bit much, regardless of that Windows beta or not.

It dropped yet again to 379€, and I'm pretty sure that Jens still hasn't get a response back. I have a good feeling this build will become lost.

I of course didn't get any response. However, I wouldn't be so pessimistic. Obviously we all keep watching that auction. I suppose that one day, he might be down to a reasonable price.

It's still 379€, however comparing to 500€, it totally worth it. I would definitely buy it only if am living in Germany. Echoing Overdoze's words, it would be greatly appreciated if anyone living in Germany could buy the computer, clone the hard drive and make the rare beta build publicly available.

We can only rely on Jens. Almost a month since the last price drop, probably not going to drop again.
P.S: It would be a shame if other people buys the computer and reformat the hard drive.
