Re: Memphis 1400 Explorer does not work
Did you install it with FAT32 or from MS-DOS?

Re: Memphis 1400 Explorer does not work
I think, you need MS-DOS it's more Windows 95 than Memphis or Windows 98, i think FAT16 is working good or too much RAM

Re: Memphis 1400 Explorer does not work
Why DOS? It's not gonna work, I used 128 megs of ram, and FAT32 does work in earlier builds.
Edit: I also set the date to a week earlier, March 3, 1997 and it did not do a thing at all.

Re: Memphis 1400 Explorer does not work
PCem? the one that has trouble booting a floppy, after my struggles with NT 3.51's boot disks?
I don't think so.
It worked just fine on this same computer, last September and on my older Lenovo computer.
Explorer didn't crash during that time, nor on that computer.
VPC was always used during that time.
86Box is just a heavily modified PCem, and that did not work either.

I don't understand what you are saying, apparently about VMware the Perfect.LangsamSpieler wrote:Then are this Build maybe for VMware the perfect
VMWare? Newer versions of VMware HATE Windows 9x. I suppose I could use VMWare as long I have a driver to get it out of 640x480 and 16 colors.

Windows 95? Not to backseat moderate, but this is about Memphis, not Chicago.
This is about the Explorer.exe crash in Memphis build 1400.
It worked just fine in September last year.

How did you get rid of the expiry dates? For both Chicago and Memphis?LangsamSpieler wrote:I did make my Windows 95 Betas so what have a Timebomb, and my collection can so have 4 Years durabillity

Re: Memphis 1400 Explorer does not work
I did read in Build 222 German, that this Build are expiring on 31 March 1995, but when i did first time try to install a Beta 2 i did not know that they have a BIOS Date. So i did look on Youtube with a Video for Build 216. The Date from the creator did say 4. November 1994 and earlier, i did make it to New year 1990 for long durability and that's why my machines are working. But only VGA is enough for me, because i'm not the bg Grapic fan. I'm more the Development fan
Code: Select all
Windows 95 Beta 2

Wow... Okay
I thought you were supposed to be helping me with Memphis's Explorer crashes, not talking about Windows 95 builds or expiry dates.
