Post by LangsamSpieler »

Hi all
I don't want make here ad, but those who are see my Youtube Channel, they are know this: that i'm showing old Software and games to 90%. Now is my request this: can i upload those games here on the FTP too (it's on 4shared available) and they are on a CD-ROM with Zip folders. I can't make a picture of those games, but i can show the icon. Examples:
-Fishhead 2.3 SE from 2002 (Hayo van Reek his game)
-Fishhead 3 from 2003 (also Hayo van Reek)
-E-Motion 1.2 from 2004 (I don't know the Maker)
-Blackshift 1.0 from 2004 (I don't know the Maker)
-Moorhuhn 2 from 2000
And much more old games, i don't want list them all.

So I'm confused, are those originals (as in, original discs with cover art etc.) or some ripoff you found on 4shared with no scans or anything like that.

Well, I still don't quite get it, but from what I understood, it's software your father had bought? I guess in that case, if it's in physical media, it could be uploaded to BA. It'll depend on what mrpijey thinks, though.

Well then try your luck at uploading it. Just remember to follow all the upload guidelines and all that fancy stuff.

The FTP seems to be online. I am able to connect to both the Upload account and the main FTP account with no issues.

I did make a RAR Folder of the unzipped games and it's 37 Games. Some of them aren't working becase they are 16-Bit game. Is it now 1 Post or 37 because 37 Folders in the 1 RAR Folder?

Post? If you have an offer (which you already posted here) then it's in that you post, nowhere else.

And if any of these folders contain any cracks or serials the offer will automatically be rejected and topic moved. So check your stuff first.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this will most probably never hit the BA FTP. The FTP is curated, which means that mrpijey would have to manually go through all your RARs and sort/install/run/check/categorize/rename/tag/repack... them himself. Which will never happen since it's a tremendous amount of work.

There are other uploads that people actually took some time to run/test/rename/tag properly, and these will be handled before. Also, your CD is not an original, which further lessens the chance that it will be even looked at.

That being said, there might still be some interest from other parties in your uploads, for example TDC or eXo might find something they don't (yet) have. For that, however, you would need to upload them somewhere else, because as long as they are in your personal upload directory, nobody else has any access to them.
I upload stuff to archive.org from time to time. See here for everything that doesn't fit BA

I checked the uploads and it's unfortunately just a huge heap of unsorted shovelware and trashware. So nothing that will be preserved in either way, and I doubt it will end up in any other collections like eXo etc either.

Thanks for offering, but this is the kind of stuff we'll never archive.

Well, if there are any DOS games in it, then I'm pretty sure it is interesting at least for TDC... I for one would be interested in downloads of these RARs

From what saw there's nothing there worth preserving here, but if LangsamSpieler sends it up to Mega or some other site he can share the link with you.
