How can a mistakenly uploaded file be removed from the FTP?

I uploaded an incomplete archive and now I want to replace it with the complete one. But I can't delete or overwrite it, FileZilla says no permission.

You can't delete or replace files and folders on the public account for obvious reasons. Just upload again with a different filename and include a text file explaining which is the correct copy. Or make a folder and write your message as its name.
