So, I have just discovered you can get the Welcome screen working in Windows Whistler Server builds.
Go to Start, point to Run and click on it, type: "regedit.exe", then go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Microsoft>Windows NT>CurrentVersion>Winlogon, right click, left click "New" then click "DWORD Value" and name it "LogonType". Set it to 1 and tada! The welcome screen in Server builds of Whistler.

Sorry, but I can't provide a screenshot. I used build 2430.

Have you installed it in VMware? If so capturing a screenshot is pretty easy. Just click on VM, and then Capture Screen. The screenshot will be saved to your desktop. If you haven't installed it in VMware than a suggest you do so we can see some screenshots
Thanks
Thanks

Yes, but I have the free version (Player), so unfortunately I can't capture a screenshot. What I can do however, is use Snipping tool in my Windows 10 host OS to capture it.gabegriggs1 wrote:Have you installed it in VMware? If so capturing a screenshot is pretty easy. It's not letting me post the image because the size is 802x666.

You have to copy the entire thing with both URL and IMG tags. That will resize the image in the post and open full size when a user clicks on it.DeclanHaselhurst wrote:It's not letting me post the image because the size is 802x666.

This works for server builds up to 3604. Just don't expect anything too exciting.

Yeah. They should be identical to the ones used in the client versions.Courage wrote:This works for most Whistler Server builds (up to 3544, at least). Just don't expect anything too exciting.
