Re: POSSIBLE LEAK: Windows Neptune 5056
Given the amount of evidence that has been posted in the thread, we can come to MAYBE a final conclusion that this build is fake and has absolutely nothing to offer... except for a minimal build number change.
Objections, LongerHorn?

Yeah, notice that disk is also from May 1999. That hopefully rules out build 5000 being from June...

That's assuming this build is real, which I'd like to believe, but now I'm not so sure.DiskingRound wrote:Yeah, notice that disk is also from May 1999. That hopefully rules out build 5000 being from June...

Re: POSSIBLE LEAK: Windows Neptune 5056
First round of MD5's:
NTOSKRNL.EXE in root-
Kernel32.dll in /system32
0411.csv in 0411.cs_
I'll come up with some more. 4 or 5 more in the cabs, and I'll confirm this build is fake.
Edit: Added by Battler on yourepicfailure's request:
certwiz.ocx in certwiz.oc_
eiccard.inf in eiccard.in_
rpcproxy.dll in rpcproxy.dl_
And the files in cabs match, from 5111 and this iso. Root in this case is i386/

Guys, I don't think we should take it out on LongerHorn if it's fake. You can be upset if it's not real, but I really don't see why we should be mad at him for trying to help out. Don't shoot the messenger.

I think enough has been said on this topic, and enough evidence provided for fakery.

Re: POSSIBLE LEAK: Windows Neptune 5056
We don't blame LongerHorn for this build as he got duped into believing this is real, or his source was. Who got tricked doesn't matter, what matters is that we discovered it's fake and that's it. At the very least I think we should at least be happy that LongerHorn brought it to us so we know in the future when this build surfaces again from the next member.
