Heretic Pre release Beta Version

Another beta boys.
This time is the beta of Heretic from Id software.

This only works with DosBox, or if you want with windows 95.

I reckon Heretic lacked the atmosphere Hexen: Beyond Heretic had. I prefer the latter over Heretic, it's simply amazing.

Heretic 1 was awesome, I played it through like 3 times. The final boss was really hard. Why do they always make the final boss almost impossible to kill ?

Both games are different but I prefer the former for some reason. Heretic had amazing atmosphere already. It got kinda dull at few points but the artistic style and how everything fit together was really done well and the weapon play. Hexen lacked some of that for me, but it had more puzzle oriented gameplay/hub system which wasn't bad at all. But some segments were rather unbalanced I'd say. Heretic, albeit linear compared to Hexen seemed more balanced in terms of difficulty.
