Installing .net framework 3.5 sp1 on Windows 2000

Post by gabrielustuca »

Hi!
I found a way for installing .net framework 3.5 and XPS Viewer EP on Windows 2000.
First, make sure you installed Unofficial SP 5 for MS Windows 2000. Download here: http://windows2000.tk/#uurollup.
Second, download and install Update Rollup 2 (UR2) from the same page.
Then go here: http://blog.livedoor.jp/blackwingcat/ar ... 95338.html, scroll down and download here: Image
Run downloaded .exe file and follow on-screen instructions.

Main OS: Windows 2000 SP4, dual-booted with Ubuntu 12.10 using Wubi
Windows XP: CRAP! Windows Vista: CRAP! Windows 7: CRAP! Windows 8: CRAP!
Windows 2000 = LOVE!!!
P.S.: Is this a contributing post?

I'm tomasz86 from http://windows2000.tk.

First of all, it's good to see people still interested in Windows 2000 :) I just want to say that you should install Update Rollup 2 before UURollup, not the other way round. I'm not saying that there will necessary be problems when you install it after UURollup but the safest way is to do UR2 -> UURollup.

As for .NET Framework, you can also use my combined .NET Framework installer. It will be included in Unofficial SP 5.2 later on but at the moment you can download test versions of it from here. All .NET Frameworks from 1.0 to 4.0 are included in the package. Of course UURollup must be installed in advance.
