I'm probably missing something obvious here, but I can't find any Computerspil (also tried searching for Swedish name Datorspel Tips & Tricks). Did find some PC Player though nothing denotes any Scandinavian language.
EDIT: Do you also happen to still have Datorspelsfestivalen from Swe CD Gamer May 1999 I sent you? I've lost that one a while ago and have since been unable to locate a new copy dispite my efforts.

I must have confused something it seems. I only have the CDs that you sent me, sorry for that.

Are you sure you mean CD Gamer May 1999? I can't find it anywhere :(

Nice! You might also want to add the pre-release images from Games Guide:
http://www.ozonline.com.au/gamesguide/news/kknd.htm
Hallfiry wrote:Haven't uploaded those CDs, yet, but instead worked on something we recently discussed in private:
We were talking about digital pictures (mostly screenshots) published on magazine CDs and which magazines had such. So I started by compiling the image galleries from the CDs and DVDs of two magazines:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0ByRZM ... 2ZWdjktUUE
GameStar 2001 to 2004
Power Play 1995 to 1997
Cool, thanks a lot! These will need some careful research though, I remember Power Play has a lot of shots made by editorial staff, but also some official stuff too.

I usually try to check the scans at MobyGames to determine if screenshots are official, and archived online sources known to have used official images, like Online Gaming Review (OGR), Next Generation Online and Computer Games Online. The release date also helps to determine if images are pre-release, although magazines had access to press betas to make their own shots in some cases. (NOTE: NextGen's article browsing system is a bit broken so in some cases you need to list the archived contents using the Wayback Machine's built-in system to find something).

Could you please upload images from PC Player/CD Player CDs?

[Edit] I've identified some official screenshots in Power Play stuff so far. Issue 03'96 has a pack of Fantasy General screenshots, and one of them (FANT15.GIF) is identical to a scaled down image found on SSI website. Another, FANT01.GIF, is the same as (again, scaled-down) the one found here (and also probably on the back of the box). Other images from this batch are likely official as well.

These screenshots from Screamer (Bleifuss in German) are official pre-release stuff (Power Play October 1995):

It seems IllidanS4's mirror at http://185.8.237.145/kult/index.php is not listing CDs any more. Is there a newer mirror I'm not aware of?

Nope, there's no other mirror. I hope IllidanS4 can fix his soon.

But I'm already working on a new online version, maybe I'll have it running before easter >.<

I personally hope that someday, more Star Wars Galaxies demos surface in your collection...am always hunting for missing assets and exes, there's an archive going on for that.

Man, you are sure to make a nostalgic guy (almost) cry!

For me, these are one of most valuable gaming CD's, especially the disks from 1999. They were my first contact with Star Wars, strategies (Heroes III, Pharaoh and Street Wars!), my beloved Tomb Raider 3, King's Quest VIII and many, many other titles. Even if I was a kid and could not understand German at all (and most part of English language as well), I was able to finish few demos and feel like I have completed the full versions.

I always wondered though, how those German CD's appeared in Poland - I am sure I have seen pack of demo CDs to buy, but in Polish or English.

Hi,

sorry to resurrect this thread but do you happen to have the GameStar bonus CDs from the year 2000?
I've been searching for years now for a specific Age of Empires 2 map called "Super Scenario" or "Super Szenario". I believe it might be on the 04, 05 or 06/2000 Bonus CDs.

I would really appreciate it if you could find the time at some point to upload this. Also: Browsing kultcds.com is like browsing my past. Really brings a tear to my eye!

We are not interested.

Sharing GameStar PDFs is illegal and will be followed by legal action. Please do not taint this thread with them.

Even archive.org has some GameStar magazines and CD's. So I would like to know where you got this information or what leads you to the conclusion that it is illegal.

But thanks for the lecture, I don't want to mess up anything.

I asked them. Unlike other publishers (such as Computec) they said sharing their stuff (including CDs) is illegal. They do still sell them, even the 1997 issues.

When the old GameStar CDs came to archive.org, they stayed there for a while, but shortly after PC Welt happily reported about them, copyright complaints were filed for all of them and they had to be taken down.
On several occasions when I posted bits from GameStar CDs here on the forums, within days, copyright complaints were filed.

Hi there, i'm in the search for information of this four GameStar CDs (04/99, 10/99 and 01/2000 -and bonus CD-).

Just wondering if someone can confirm they contain Age of Empires II related vide content. Looking for old interview with game footage.

They do exactly contain what the cover says:
04/99 AOE2 preview
10/99 Comparison of AOE2 and Tiberian Sun
01/00 AOE2 demo
01/00 Bonus AOE2 patch

Demo and patch available all over the place (you surely already have them), the videos I'm not allowed to upload for copyright reasons, but they might be available on youtube if GameStar uploaded them or is tolerating other uploads.
