(REQUEST) Windows 95 Special Edition disk images

Post by 5247846 »

This is near impossible to find, but it would be a great addition to our software collections!!
I'm very sorry for making this request, but I'm just trying to save the special launch edition of Windows 95 from being lost and forgotten.

Regards,
Javier Donoso.

PS: I also need some box shots of it, since I really didn't find them on Google.
Again, I'm really sorry for requesting this, but this is (maybe) the only one that doesn't install without asking for CD Key nor cheching for previous installations of Windows.
At the Windows 95 Launch and at various other marketing events, guests were given a copy of "Windows 95 Special Edition". What is so special about the box?

Answer: The box.

The contents of the box are exactly the same as a regular copy of Windows 95. The only thing special about it is the box itself.
Anyone with a retail copy of Windows 95 has Windows 95 Special Edition. Did you not read what ultrawindows posted? Obviously not.

@helmsc
Thank you. Did you find a boot disk inside that box?

Did you not look at the pictures? The box is still shrink wrapped and why would this have a boot disk when the retail upgrade did not have one?

Just a thought.

Sorry for requesting disk images of Windows 95 Special Edition, but this is (maybe) the only one that doesn't install without asking for CD Key nor cheching for previous installations of Windows.

Yeah well, he's not going to open the box for your overly demanding self.
Goodbye.

It seems you have really problems with reading posts or you simply don't follow them. The only thing that is different for the special edition is the box, isn't it?

The installation media, manuals, and everything else inside is the same. The only difference is that there is a text on the box saying: "Special Edition". The rest is exactly the same. Get it now? 8-)
