Windows 8 Installation Screenshots

Post by TzuLLy »

So recently people have been posting many things about various things about Windows 8. Today I noticed that someone posted a screenshot of the locked OOBE routine in early M3 builds of Windows 8. Thanks to an anonymous source, I have an array of screenshots of this OOBE routine from one of these early M3 builds of Windows 8. I am posting below for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

It does look interesting none the less, I'm looking forward to seeing the direction they take with the whole gui as it seems like it's going to good places

Ohh... So that's how it looks. Personally, for me, the Windows 8 UI is looking pretty well so far. A couple of changes to the current M2/M3 build UI would be necessary, but I know that Microsoft tends to develop the UI last before all of the features go into the pre-beta builds. I just can't wait to see the beta build! Based on what I see so far, if the beta is anything equal to or greater than the current build, it looks like I will be having Windows 8 as my next OS.

I like this interface. More user-friendly. Less confusing. Suitable to read. Perfect.

The interface is really awesome.
It resembles the interface of Mac OS X.

Nice. The gui is very sleek and simple. It shouldn't feel intimidating to any new Windows users :)

I like the new scrollbar, visible in picture 8 (choosing the language). An equivalent scrollbar will be used in Mac OS X Lion. Quite simple and a 'revolution' of a scrollbar and half an inch more space for websites, important for tablets :)

I'm looking forward to the public beta or the beta leak because then I'll be able to run the 64-bit build on my PC and try out all the upcoming features!

For once, Microsoft have made an installation seem more attractive and easy-to-used. Looks like the 'metro' theme seen in W8; or styled like WP7.

just as I get used to something they decide to change it. I lol'ed at the "Type your Windows pro...", "Please read the license t..." etc. Microsoft can't be bothered to make there writing fit on screen.

Makeing the text fit on would sound logical to us! (But who are we to comment)
Can't wait to see Windows 8 in action.
