Can you not read? In your quote, it clearly says Found this picture a while ago, unfortunately the website it was posted on got shut down....
Other than that, does anyone think the UI will change again? I mean XP to Vista to 7. That's three different UI's and I don't like that. I hope the UI stays the same or similar and besides, many people refused and still refuse to buy Vista and 7 because they can't get used to the new interface.

Re: Windows 8 7976
I think the picture is real, because there is the "betta-fish", which was in Windows 7 Beta also.
Re: Windows 8 7976
The betta-fish in this new wallpaper is nice, I use it on my desktop. I just wish the newer builds would leak.
Also its nice to see Msoft move away from Glowing auroras to something more calm.

Re: Windows 8 7976

It's your account's picture and iirc it has to do with live, but other than that don't ask me...SlimjimXP wrote:tell me what's up with the weird icon user tile?! is this supposed to be a logon to Windows Live? What does it do currently?

Re: Windows 8 7976
There's an app which recreates the supposed functionality. It replaces the right click-customize option from the desktop and allows you to go straight to user management, among other things.DeFacto wrote:It's your account's picture and iirc it has to do with live, but other than that don't ask me...SlimjimXP wrote:tell me what's up with the weird icon user tile?! is this supposed to be a logon to Windows Live? Re: Windows 8 7976
That's not a real screenshot.
The first is that language button is ENG not EN.
The second is that the language button text is bolder than the time bar text.

@GlukeSkovarodker.
I agree, this is propably an fake screenshot.
The language button is 2 letters, example: NL = Dutch, EN = English, DE = German, and it has always been since Windows 95, in the currently leaked build it has been slightly modified to include the keyboard in the tray, if you have it enabled in the keyboard settings under the language options, you still need to enable it in the Taskbar under Toolbar --> Deskband Indicator.
And you get this.

Re: Windows 8 7976
At least they are building off a better os than previous devs. I love that background and made it my logon background on my 7 pro machine.
Re: Windows 8 7976
I am probably missing something here.
Why is it important to know what a latest build is of a product that 'nobody' (outside MSFT) can get his/her hands on?
e.g. this 7 month old M1/7850 build is leaked and available in different ways. Cool, nice, download and install and have fun with it.
But there are not any other (more recent) versions leaked, right?
If so, why matter what the latest built is?

Re: Windows 8 7976
windows 8 build 7976 is already close to beta testing and it probably contains most of the innovations

Probably because you're not getting your information from the same place as some of us.
Re: Windows 8 7976
The watermark misses the "_win8m3" tag after winmain as the leaked M1 build hasrazziatore wrote:Confidential disclaimer doesn't appear in this screenshot, so we need to know if it's possible to remove it leaving watermark intact (I read on MDL someone who managed to remove both disclaimer and watermark, but not only one of them).
