I thought that Datacenter had more virtualization features than Standard. But anyways, Applegame12345, could you share the iso of the disarmed version of Server build 9875?

Using DISM, probably.gtgamer468 wrote:Would I be able to upgrade it to Datacenter? I saw commands on the web that does this.
Because this build uses a custom SKU, ServerStandardEval, I had to use DISM to change the SKU to ServerStandard when I tried activating it(which still failed).
For home use, absolutely nothing. Datacenter's license allows you to infinitely virtualize instances on a Datacenter licensed machine. In addition, it allows shielded virtual machines, infinite constrained storage replicas, and some other features that you probably don't know what they do being useless for you, and probably don't even work in this build. Standard (I run 2012R2 standard) will more than suffice for a home power user.DragonWars wrote:what is the difference between standard and datacenter for home use?
9875 is buggy. Its start menu has color problems (all programs menu uses illegible black text) among other glitches.

9785 has another bug. When you try to unpin an app from a taskbar, explorer crashesyourepicfailure wrote:Using DISM, probably.gtgamer468 wrote:Would I be able to upgrade it to Datacenter? I saw commands on the web that does this.

You can also upgrade it to Datacenter. https://trekker.net/archives/upgrade-th ... atacenter/gtgamer468 wrote:I thought that Datacenter had more virtualization features than Standard. But anyways, Applegame12345, could you share the iso of the disarmed version of Server build 9875?
It also works on client versions.

I did manage to upgrade editions to Datacenter. The problem I'm now facing is Workstation Converter 2012 as it keeps throwing me critical errors like insufficient permission to the log files or initialization errors.

Re: Debombing Windows Build 9900
Must you seriously rely on some random program to do the easy stuff for you? What can it do that you can't yourself?
It's way easier to do it yourself than try to get a program originally written for Server 2012R1 to work on a broken post 2012R2 build.

Guys, could I ask you all a question? What spp folders are you all using to debomb these Windows 10 beta/Server 2016 beta builds, or in other words, where do these spp folders come from?

I'll just share the link. I couldn't debomb it so maybe you could save the trouble by just downloading it courtesy of DragonWar. Here it is: https://mega.nz/#!HawFFIbQ!s0Iz4_KvqIUI ... JUgSLlQ3pk

Re: Debombing Windows Build 9900
Client 9785 has been released today, x86 and amd64 english only checked and free. Very similar to 9785 server, except a bit more stable.
I don't recommend it, but if you must run a beta build go for that one.

I would prefer that over the server version. Did anyone manage to debomb it?

It should be able to be activated with a Windows 8.x key (can be Windows 8 or 8.1). By the way DragonWar, images should be uploaded using the site's image uploader.

Re: Debombing Windows Build 9900
This build is pretty stable. There is one bug where you are trying to right-click Internet Explorer 11 and explorer crashes and restarts. Also, to install optional features like .NET Frameworks, Windows will ask you to connect to Windows Update, but it will fail. The fix to install optional features is to modify Group Policy Editor settings and mount the disc image. Search "gpedit.msc" then go to this path: "Computer Configuration/Administrative Tools/System". Then right-click "Specify settings for optional..." and press edit. Click Enabled and for "Alternative source path", enter "X:\sources\sxs" where X is the letter assigned to the mounted image. Then save your settings and then open cmd as administrator. Enter this command: "gpupdate /force" and then you can start adding in optional features.

Or you can learn to use dism and install .net with a single command, without fiddling with group policies:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/window ... ment--dism
The last section under "Use DISM with no Internet connectivity."
