The purpose of this article is to describe a change in non-interactive update installations in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 and later versions.

A non-interactive installation does not require any user intervention during the installation process. You can perform a non-interactive installation when you use an AT command or when you use management packages such as Windows Task Scheduler, Microsoft Systems Management Server, or the IBM Tivoli software.

Internet Explorer 6 Before Service Pack 1

Some updates for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 before Service Pack 1 will not install when you try to use a non-interactive installation.

Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 and Later

All updates for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 and later will install when you use a non-interactive installation.
