Any infocom collectors out there? Hitchhikers Guide Question

I've purchased a couple gray releases for IBM PC and all were release 56. Does anyone know if release 47 was even released for IBM PC?

I'm going to have to guess probably not....

billboard magazine (they used to do games), has it mentioned for the PC in 1985, but before then, it's just HHGTTG.
