[Request] Microsoft Windows NT 3.1 (09-11-1993) (Retail)

On the FTP we have an MSDN version of that OS, dated 08/03/1994 5:28AM.
Therefore, we're missing the retail version, dated 09/11/1993 5:28AM.

If you open any readme file of the english worksation iso, you will see "advanced server" in them. That's a mislabeled release. (For the english one). And even if it installs the workstation version, the setup.ini file has been edited to do that as well (see the wrong timestamp).

- Win95Fan: Well, of course it exists. But at the moment, noone happens to have it. So you'll have to wait. And creating a new thread every 6 months won't help it either. It can take years before someone finally finds it. So be patient and wait.

I may actually have this.

I've got a near-mint boxed copy of Windows NT 3.1 with a sticker on it that says "Promotional Sample Not For Resale". There is another sticker on the top of the box with a barcode that says "PROMO TEAM S:1". I got this as part of a lot from a guy junking a lot of old software stuff over 10 years ago. However, I never realized it was a promotional sample.

Everything inside is still sealed.

The date on the box says Copyright 1993, The part number (of the box) is 36336.

This looks like the right one:

When NT 3.1 was available they were giving it away like crazy... I wonder if anyone actually bought it (well outside of corporate buyers)

Sorry for the late response; I've been extremely busy lately.

I can confirm that I have the version in question but everything inside the box is still sealed and I'm not yet prepared to tear everything open. I didn't realize it was in this condition, as I'd received it second-hand and never checked the state of its contents. Sorry.

Following up on this. I see that the FTP has a floppy version dated 1993-09-11.

I wanted to mention that there is also a CD and some 5.25" floppies included in the box.

I've included some photos of my boxed copy as well any identifying stickers and numbers if someone wants to try and locate one for themselves.
