Only while the beta tests for the products in question was still underway. I used the builds made available for Office 2003, 2007 and 2010 (Did not take part in 2013) but using beta products for everyday use after RTM is not something many people will do.

I'm sure you could still use them for everyday use (expiry issues aside) but there is not really a reason to do so :)

I did for Office 2013 , and I'd have probably continued if not for the timebomb.
Generally , it is stable enough , and RTM files generally work on Beta and vice-versa.
Take care though for 2007 , as a 2007 Beta 2 edited file(only 2007 file format) , won't work in 2010(works in 2007 RTM , but asks you to upgrade the file) , and vice versa will fail as well.

AFAIK, Office 2007 Beta's docx, xlsx, pptx, etc. cannot open using the final build. So I don't think it's a good idea to use Beta Office.

Yes. Office 2010 Build 4536, Office 2013/Office 365 Home Premium (whichever build it was, I don't know... I was only offered that beta).

As I said before , they can be used , but it will ask you to upgrade the file type for use with Office 2007 RTM. Once that's done , no going back.

Sure, I used office 97 beta for a long time in... 1996. Not because it was a beta, but because that was the version I had. The cd I was given just said "office 97", and it was the only copy my friends and I had available. It's just like windows 95, I recently found out my copy of it is just a beta. At the time, I wasn't aware of it.

There is no real advantage of using an Office Beta on a daily-use scenario as opposed to using a RTM version.
The only possible benefit is that it is generally free , but even this advantage is eroding with the requirement of Office 365.

Just install Libreoffice and you're good to go. Don't see any advantages of using beta office.

I personally prefer OpenOffice.
Half-Life is a pretty good game.
