Office 4.0 Pre-Activation?!

Post by ExplicitNuM5 »

Today, I felt like messing with DOS 5 and Windows 3.1 again, like I want to do weeks later. I downloaded Office 4.0 from the FTP, and this is what I saw: Image

Is this supposed to be this way, or is it a unauthentic version of Office 4.0?

Somebody dumped a copy of Office 4 that has already been used by somebody. Nothing you have to worry about, it still works normally.

Usually if the disk is not write-protected it'll insert the name and company used on the first install. IIRC, it can be cleared, there was a topic about it here somewhere.

But it's suspicious cause there is also the serial key. It's as if someone uploaded it with a injected key.

It's not suspicious, it's normal. I've told you this happens on first install, it doesn't affect the program in anyway, but if you want to remove it, look it up how to do it.
