Half Life: Decay PC Port
Half Life: Decay PC Port
This has been around for a while now, but it's still a very interesting expansion pack for HL1. This is the only official Co-Op version of Half-Life to date (that I know of), where you can play locally with another person. It takes place around the same time as the original HL1, but it includes new characters, and a new story line. This was officially released on November 14, 2001, and was exclusive to the PlayStation 2. However, there is a Windows port available here. If you are a Half-Life fan and have never played this game, I would recommend checking it out!

You just need the Steam version of Half-Life 1. The port is a GoldSrc mod.betaluva wrote:cool, thanks for sharing, so do i need the valve hammer file?
Re: Half Life: Decay PC Port
I played through Decay with a friend of mine some time ago, and it was a lot of fun. It's a shame this was never officialy released on PC.
It'd be great to hear an official explanation as to why Op4 and BS had PC versions, but Decay's was abandoned.

Re: Half Life: Decay PC Port
Its not an official release but there is a mod in the works to import the levels and gameplay of Decay to the PC version.

this is the mod that ported decay to PCCloudroth wrote:Its not an official release but there is a mod in the works to import the levels and gameplay of Decay to the PC version.
This isn't the official Gearbox port (to those wondering)
Re: Half Life: Decay PC Port
The mod/port to PC works really well and is as far as I can see the easiest way to play Decay. I did however notico some odities when playing on my own by switching between characters that it does not load 3rd person player models.
Re: Half Life: Decay PC Port
The mod was released, and then abandoned.
It never had it's bugs and issues fixed which sucks.

It great to know there is an expansion pack for half-life.I have thought of acheter black ops 3,expansion of this game would be amazing.

Given that this mod is unofficial I would not expect any new updates coming from it.Gurluas wrote:The mod was released, and then abandoned.

Usually bugs are fixed even in unofficial releases.Okaris wrote:Given that this mod is unofficial I would not expect any new updates coming from it.Gurluas wrote:The mod was released, and then abandoned.

Most mods, even singleplayer ones fixed the bugs.
This one however, got the initial release, the promise of a bugfix alongside an "international release", then nothing.
Re: Half Life: Decay PC Port
That is unfortunate. I guess the best way to play this game would be on the PS2 then. It is unlikely they are ever going to release this game as part of a bundle in future.

Re: Half Life: Decay PC Port
Shame that this didn't get seen through to the end.
I played Decay on the PS2 with my brother some years ago, but we encountered a bug where we could not kill the last boss. I was hoping to give it a go in higher res on PC.
