I'm noobish at Sonic stuff, so don't mind me asking the question.
Is this the golden Sonic?

Found a beta for this.

You need a Sega Saturn emulator to run this. Here, I'll save you the googling. http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/saturn/

That beta Pyromaniac posted is an early NiGHTS engine version of Sonic Xtreme. Currently there is no release for the 'walking up walls' PC version of Xtreme.

Not Nights. Looks similar, but isn't Nights. It's a common misconception really.Evan wrote:That beta Pyromaniac posted is an early NiGHTS engine version of Sonic Xtreme. Currently there is no release for the 'walking up walls' PC version of Xtreme.

It's running on Christina Coffin's boss engine. After Ofer Alon's fisheye lens engine was scrapped, the whole game was being remade with the boss engine until it was cancelled. The NiGHTS engine was only used for about two weeks before Yuji Naka forced Sega Technical Institute to stop using his game engine.borman18 wrote:Not Nights. Looks similar, but isn't Nights. A level viewer and the levels from the Pc version were leaked though.

I thought the level viewer was a custom deal by a talented programmer? Although I havent followed any recent developments.Gurluas wrote:A level viewer and the levels from the Pc version were leaked though.

However, I haven't started emulating the Sega Saturn yet, so this may be a good start.
