I think it would have deserved a bit more on the back like a description of some sort but other than that it looks fantastic!

Thanks for the feedback everyone! And yeah, I know I could always add a bit more to the back but there's something magical about keeping things nice and simple. :)

Looks awesome... :) As if it was actually made by Microsoft. But what are those color bars left of the windows logo on the front?

Thanks! I chose to put those color bars there to represent the four colors of the traditional Windows flag logo without actually putting them on the logo itself (as the logo looked better on that particular background in white).

Awesome case, although you may as well have included the product key given everyone has the same one. :P

What is that thing on the back? A Fish? An alien? A space-ship with an eye?
Just kidding, very nice work, its very clean and nice, sort of the Windows 8 style :)

I might print it out and put it in one of DVD cases to hold Windows 8 CP when I actually bother to burn it.

Thats pretty cool

There's quite a few of DVD cases being shared around, but not many DVD prints. I might try and do one myself...

And I think the product key is usually on the disk (or on a separate leaflet), rather than on the back of the case (since the back of case would be visible in store etc.), but I suppose it would be useful to have it on the cover, and yeah, its the same for everyone. Also, might need to mention 64/32bit version on cover.

Yeah - if I were going for 100% authentic there's no way I would have put the key on the back of the case. Alas, I am not. Thanks for the opinion!
(Also, not *everybody* was given the same exact key. Everybody who downloaded it from the regular old preview program was, but that's not the only way to have access to Windows 8.)

I decided to make my own, but it's very bad. Feel free to make negative comments about it, I won't care.

KnucklesARouge, yes. It's bad. Complete lack of aliasing in Windows 8 logo.
