1. Download the lastest Resource Hacker (3.6 - 16 September 2011)
2. Takeown System32\shsxs.dll.
3. Open it in Resource Hacker
4. Replace the 5231 and 5232 (PNG) resources.
5. Backup it.
6. Save the resource hacked shsxs.
7. Reboot

The SysWOW64 doesn't need to be changed since the Start screen is always opened in 64-bit on 64-bit Windows.

How do you edit the background color (I mean the green band) ? ;)
I guess it's in UI files right? :P

But I'm waiting for Panda X's or Hounsell's guide as they changed everything from the green band in the middle, to the lockscreen and sidebars.

Hounsell said he'll be posting the files soon for the blue version. So hopefully someone can edit it to purple or other colours.

As far as i understood their method,

WinDBG (x86) - Open Crash Dump - System32\uxtheme.dll -

Code:

.reload
dd g_ImmersiveColors
ln g_ImmersiveColors


But i can't get it working.

It's not that we didn't want to make it public, I had to write a basic tutorial/guide while also finishing up and make sure everything would work. However as of a few minutes ago we've published a quick tutorial so people could do it themselves. http://metrothemes.deviantart.com
