I had an Windows Vista Beta 2 x86 disc and the design was different. This was different from KenOath's disc. So I create this topic so everyone can see how it looks like. Try to compare it with KenOath's disc and my disc.
KenOath's disc:

You realise that KenOath's is a SERVER SKU?

Hello? On KenOath's disc it clearly says: Windows(TM) Server Code name Longhorn Beta 02.
Your disc says Windows Vista Beta 2. And AFAIK Windows Server 2008 never had anything to do with the name Vista...
Pay more attention next time...

Re: Windows Vista Beta 2 disc design differences
Yeah, the huge SERVER text should have been a bit of a give away
Re: Windows Vista Beta 2 disc design differences
The fact that that's a server disc is kind of irrelevant, though, seeing as there are client discs that have that same exact design. Here's my Vista Beta 2 disc:
I also have a Vista Beta 2 x64 disc with the same design. Discs with these designs were given to Technical Beta testers.
(Sorry for the poor shot, I couldn't be assed to dig out my scanner and go through the trouble of setting it up when a cell phone photo would do.)

Well in that case you got a point, but he hasn't because you can't compare 2 discs with different contents...
Re: Windows Vista Beta 2 disc design differences
That blue disc (x64 one is green) was given out to testers of the CPP (Customer Preview Program) for a small fee (if I remember right I paid about 16€). You could register on the Microsoft Vista homepage back then and got the Beta 2 version and the RC1 version.
Those silver discs were given to members of the TAP (Technology Adoption Program), Techbeta participants and members of similar programs on Microsoft Connect. They shipped a lot if different discs incuding WDK discs, SDK and so on. As you can see here, they also gave out interim builds on those discs:
There also was a CPP for WS2008. These are the Beta 3 and the RC1 discs of WS2008:
And there were internal discs (win 7 and 2k8r2 ones are almost identical) which looked like this:
Ony a few of these discs made it outside MS
As you can see here, those internal discs changed only a little bit over the past 13 years:
