Windows ME (Millenium Edition) was the last version of Windows to contain a DOS UI. (9x build). It was an edition for homw use, unlike Windows 2000 which was more toward business. It was released slightly after Windows 2000 and Windows 98 SE. It contained a new feature of System Restore which helps users back date their computer to a previous time frame if there was a possible error. Windows ME was not as popular as Microsoft had thought, so it lacked support, which made it the shortest supported OS of all time. Support ended in June 2006, only 5 years after its release. Windows ME is still used by some people who use laptops and like to game "old" games such as DOS, and has movie maker, though its stability and buggyness to use now makes it unreliable, after there are no more updates for the OS. After this came Windows XP which mixed together Windows 2000 and Windows ME into something great, which lead up to the best OS ever!
