Windows "Longhorn" build 4051, with a build tag of 4051.idx02.031001-1340 is a Milestone 7 Longhorn build (a majority of sources identify it as a Milestone 6 build) and the official PDC 2003 build. It leaked on October 20, 2003.

Features

  • It was the first leaked build which featured the Slate theme, although it debuted at build 4042.Lab06_N.030909-1709.
  • Other visual changes include the Documents folder, the Photos and Videos folder and the dropping of the prefix "My", resulting in Computer, Network Places and Contacts, and the removal of the word Start from the Start Menu button in the 32-bit builds.
  • An updated version of Internet Explorer with a version number of 6.05. New features included a Download Manager, pop-up blocker, add-on manager and a tool to clear browsing history.
  • In 64-bit builds, the sidebar is not included and the word start is included in the Start Menu.
