Part of Scotland A's victorious IRB Nations Cup team in 2009, he received his first call-up to the full Scotland squad for the November internationals. An injury to Ben Cairns ensured that he started the first two games. Despite being relatively small at just 13 stones, he put in some impressive tackles against Fiji and Australia and started against Argentina.

"Longhorn" was the codename for planned successor of Windows XP. The project was cancelled, and replaced with a new project with similar codename - Longhorn Omega-13, that was renamed to Vista that became the real successor of XP. Early Vista's builds were reffered as just Longhorn for most of the time and those two projects were often mistaken.
