Windows 10 Redstone 1 (RS1) is the second major update to the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system. This carries on the constant development of Windows 10 Post TH2. Windows 10 Redstone 1 (RS1) addresses some of the bugs and introduces new features to Windows 10.

Issues

As of the latest build (14328),

  1. Microsoft Edge extensions are removed when upgrading.(Regression)
  2. Feedback Hub is not localized and the UI will be in English (U.S.) only, even with language packs installed.
  3. Feedback Hub will take up to 30 minutes to start , before that it is unusable.
  4. The Desktop App Converter Preview (Project Centennial) will not work.
  5. The updated UAC UI breaks the ALT + Y keyboard shortcut to choose “yes”.
  6. Clicking on a link in an appwith a URL longer than 260 characters, it will bring up the “Open with…” dialog instead of opening with your default browser.
  7. Groove Music may crash at launch. It will also fail if music is played within 2 minutes of logging in.
  8. In Microsoft Edge, some large downloads may appear to get stuck at 99% completion.(Regression)
  9. Settings will crash if you try to pin one of the pages to Start, resulting in page not being pinned.
  10. You may see square boxes in certain apps when using some of the new emoji.(Regression)
