Alpha Release is a pre-release version of Microsoft Windows 1.0. It was shipped to testers in January 1985.
Machine requirements
This release is designed for users of IBM and COMPAQ personal computers running MS-DOS or PC-DOS, with a graphical display adapter (CGA, Hercules and EGA adapters are supported), a floppy disk drive, and a hard disk drive.
