Custom icons
I think it's a better idea if you could upload your screens as stock as possible, i.e, without the custom icons, as they do not come as part of the OS and hence distort an otherwise good image. X010 (talk) 21:51, 26 June 2019 (BST)
- Yeah, please keep icons for third party software, or software that does not come with the OS off your screenshots. WILSON2bGg - Plagiarism Police (talk) 22:19, 26 June 2019 (BST)
- @WILSON2bGg @x010 You want me to do a clean install? THIS IS WHAT I FUCKING HATE. Being forced to do something just for some screenshots.
- As an alternative, can I upload the images from BetaWiki while giving credit?--MCpillager - nope (talk) 15:57, 4 July 2019 (BST)
- You could just delete the icons for third party software. There’s no one forcing you, you don’t have to make a new one if you don’t want. I just wouldn’t use it for anything as it might confuse people into thinking said third party software might come with the OS. So just delete the third party icons and we’ll be good. WILSON2bGg - Plagiarism Police (talk) 16:37, 4 July 2019 (BST)
- I'd agree with WILSON2bGg - you don't actually have to go all the way to reinstall the OS. Deleting the custom icons should be pretty painless - you can quickly restore them from the Recycle Bin once that's done. X010 (talk) 22:17, 4 July 2019 (BST)
Blocked

I warned you several times not to bring BetaWiki stuff here, and now you're harassing people. "Go die" is a term which I'm not prepared to accept on this wiki, and I've hence blocked you for a week. You may appeal here on your talk page if required.
P.S: You really could be a good contributor otherwise. X010 (talk) 18:19, 2 July 2019 (BST)
- @x010 I just want peace and not war. Go tell those fucking BetaWiki admins about that. And for the others, we already managed to get 10 Pillage-Haters globally banned.--MCpillager - nope (talk) 12:08, 3 July 2019 (BST)
- Also we are holding a peace conference here: http://us20.chatzy.com/21579730561817#0.--MCpillager - nope (talk) 12:25, 3 July 2019 (BST)
https://mccw-history.fandom.com/wiki/FANDOM_Riots
- How is that relevant to what I have blocked you for - harassing other users and spreading non-BA Wiki issues here? It does not matter who is being targeted - harassment isn't the right way. And I can't do anything with your "peace conference" either, and the Fandom link makes little sense to me... X010 (talk) 12:50, 3 July 2019 (BST)
- @x010 i would like to appeal. sorry for any inconvenience, i am short-tempered.--MCpillager - nope (talk) 16:44, 3 July 2019 (BST)
- On what basis do you think I should unblock you? X010 (talk) 17:28, 3 July 2019 (BST)
- @x010 nvm, imma wait out my 5-day block.--MCpillager - nope (talk) 15:55, 4 July 2019 (BST)
- Also @X010 the latest leaked builds are not updated, Windows 95 build 263 has leaked today.--MCpillager - Perfection (talk) 04:52, 6 July 2019 (BST)
- Ok, we can deal with it, you don't need to bug us to make changes you can't make as of right now. WILSON2bGg - Plagiarism Police (talk) 06:42, 6 July 2019 (BST)
about your IBM ThinkPad R60

Hello, I just wanted to draw your attention to a bug that you have on your hardware page - your ThinkPad R60 has an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. "Centrino" is just a technology name. --ToMi (talk) 15:00, 19 July 2019 (BST)
- Centrino isn’t just a name, it means that the machine has an Intel CPU, WiFi and graphics. :::: — Preceding unsigned comment added by WILSON2bGg (talk • contribs)
Reason for deleting 5095
Files like that don’t warrant a whole build page. It might make a decent note for the 5111.1 page, but not a separate page. Just since a file has a version number from a different build doesn’t mean it gets a page, just not enough evidence. If you doubt me, just ask mrpjiey. Rob - Wilson (talk) 05:37, 23 July 2019 (BST)
- He's right (but I should still note that movers are not supposed to delete pages other than for maintenance, please tag it for deletion like any other user would). X010 (talk) 07:23, 23 July 2019 (BST)
Windows 3.1 VM

Hello MCpillager, I need to ask you something about the VM you sent me on the Forum: https://www.betaarchive.com/forum/ucp.php?i=pm&mode=view&f=0&p=94038. I looked at the instructions: https://github.com/86Box/86BoxManager/wiki/Adding-existing-virtual-machines, and I did it exactly according to him.
When I started the VM, I got an error: "No usable ROM images found!". When I looked into the folder you sent me, there was only the "nvr" folder, but there was no "roms" folder. I would like to ask you if it could be fixed, or if the folder is missing. Thank you very much. --ToMi (talk) 15:01, 5 August 2019 (BST)
- @ToMiDownload them from here, also put the roms inside the 86box folder.
If it is successful, it should boot up Intel Premiere PCI II with a Pentium I 75Mhz processor.--MÇpïllαgér (tàlk | çøñtrìbs) 15:27, 5 August 2019 (BST)- @MCpillager Unfortunately not successful, is there any other way? Or at least explain in more detail whether I did it right. --ToMi (talk) 15:50, 5 August 2019 (BST)
- @ToMi Sounds like you did something wrong. This is what i do:
- @MCpillager Unfortunately not successful, is there any other way? Or at least explain in more detail whether I did it right. --ToMi (talk) 15:50, 5 August 2019 (BST)
- Install the DirectX June 2010 redist.
- Install .NET Framework 4.0.
- Download 86Box.
- Extract the archive to Program Files.
- Download the ROMs.
- Unpack the ROMs to the 86Box folder.
- Download 86Manager.
- Extract the archive to a folder in 86Box called manager.
- Run the 86Manager.
- Import the VM.
- Done.

Win98 and WinME drivers

Hello MCpillager, i have a question, please what configuration you are used in your Windows 98 VM and Windows ME VM (in your OS gallery)? I'm planning to install these versions in 86Box 2.00. Thank you. --ToMi (talk) 17:11, 6 August 2019 (BST)
- @ToMi I used VPC2007, which emulates a S3 Trio64 card. The card is available in 86Box, but you're better off with an Nvidia card.--MÇpïllαgér (tàlk | çøñtrìbs) 11:58, 7 August 2019 (BST)
Screens

Hello, I wanted to ask you something again. How did you create screenshots of win98 or win2000 in VPC2007, did you use any keyboard shortcuts? Thank you. --ToMi (talk) 16:37, 12 August 2019 (BST)
