Plagarism

Please do not plagarise content from BetaWiki, like the templates. (I have left it anyways, as it's not a good place for me). @SebOno and @WILSON2bGg There isn't any set rule that prevents taking ideas from other wikis. In fact, I would not prohibit taking templates from other sites (I've done it myself; see Template:Quote), but they must be imported instead (so that the contribution history from the other wiki must be preserved). @X010 This user did a direct copy+paste of BetaWiki templates, with no attempt to modify them for this wiki. If that’s not the definition of plagiarism, I don’t know what is. User:MCpillager, I appreciate your intention to help, but we have our own policies - some of them which are already in BetaArchive Wiki:Wiki Guidelines - and some of them which will be formed when appropriate. In general, please do not take policies from other wikis, and do not copy-paste content directly from other sources (including templates unless imported), as we need to satisfy attribution requirements. While I understand that you are having some difficulties over at BetaWiki, please note that BetaArchive Wiki is not the place to attack any user, for any reason, anywhere. While I can understand your irritation at being blocked there, please do not bring issues there, here; we are not BetaWiki. This includes posting messages to others' talk pages. I suggest you bring it up with them through their community, not at BetaArchive. I speak from experience, having been blocked for nearly five years at Wikipedia. Yeah, the fact that you find bringing outside to BetaArchive and the wiki is not how you deal with getting blocked or how you go about getting said block removed. Such immaturity doesn't get you anywhere. And the BA thread was most likely locked because it was getting out of hand and it was just a bunch of bickering.
