Firefox is a free open source web browser made to compete with Microsoft Internet Explorer (now Windows Internet Explorer) starting in late 2003, early 2004 . Their latest build is 3.7 Alpha. It has FTP capabilities unlike Internet Explorer and starts up faster. Firefox has also been in competiton with the new Google Chrome web browser. Over 25% of the world use this browser, which makes it the second most popular in the world. The other 70% use, of course, Internet Explorer. You have the ability to even download skins to customize the way you want the browser to look, which is great. There even is an Internet Explorer theme which makes it so much better if you are used to Internet Explorer, but want the works of Firefox!
