SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You have a Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) statement that uses the DIMENSION PROPERTIES keyword to retrieve member properties. You run the MDX statement against an instance of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services that has Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed. The MDX statement returns the result in a flattened rowset. In this scenario, additional data columns for ascendant members are returned unexpectedly.

RESOLUTION
