Article ID: 938238

Article Last Modified on 7/17/2007

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0

The hotfix that is discussed in this article is not available for the Chinese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or for the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0. You have a security role. The security role contains the user-level read access to activities. You create an account, and then you share this account with yourself. Then, you assign the account to another user. Next, you create some activities for this account. Finally, you stop sharing this account. Therefore, you are no longer an owner of this account, and you do not have access to the account.

In this scenario, you can still open the account. Additionally, you can still read the activities of the account.

This problem occurs if you have installed one of the following updates:

  • Hotfix 925163
  • Hotfix 925874
  • Update Rollup 2 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0
