  • The prerequisites for installing the hotfix package

  • The files that are contained in the hotfix package

SYMPTOMS

You enable proactive caching for a partition in a Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services 2005. In a connection that has Multiple Active Result Set (MARS) enabled, when you process the partition, the operation may take a long time to be completed. If you use SQL Server Profiler to capture a trace of the operation, you notice that the partition is processed two times. For example, the trace contains records that resemble the following:

Progress Report Begin 1 - Process Processing of the 'Time Stamp Data' partition has started. 0 <Date> <Time> <Date> <Time> MarsReportingPlatform Time Stamp Data 19641
Progress Report End 1 - Process Finished processing the 'Time Stamp Data' partition. 0 0 <Date> <Time> <Date> <Time> 891 MarsReportingPlatform Time Stamp Data 0 19641 70969
Progress Report Begin 1 - Process Processing of the 'Time Stamp Data' partition has started. 0 <Date> <Time> <Date> <Time> MarsReportingPlatform Time Stamp Data 19641
