The synchronization session of the mobile device fails, and you receive error code "0X85010015" when you try to synchronize a mobile device by using Exchange ActiveSync in Exchange Server 2007

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario.

  • You use a server that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. This server is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003.
  • The Exchange Server 2007 server is configured to have a Client Access server role.
  • You set the regional language settings of the Windows Server 2003 operating system to Turkish.

In this scenario, when you try to synchronize a mobile device with the Exchange 2007 Client Access server by using Exchange ActiveSync, the synchronization session of the mobile device fails. Additionally, you receive the following error code:

0X85010015

Note If you enable verbose logging in Exchange ActiveSync, the "501" error message is logged in the server.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, download install Update Rollup 3 for Exchange 2007.
