SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You open a local Briefing Book that has a local cube as the data source. Or, you open the Getting Started Briefing Book. Then, you open a cube that was created in Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services. When you reopen the Briefing Book in ProClarity Professional, you receive the following error message:

You don't have access to view the selected page. Please choose a different page.

CAUSE

When you open a local Briefing Book that has a local cube as the data source, the OLE DB provider reads the data from the local cube file. Then, the OLE DB provider locks the cube file. The OLE DB provider does not release the lock until the object is deleted. However, to improve performance, ProClarity Professional reuses the OLE DB provider.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, restart ProClarity Professional.
