SYMPTOMS

When you try to access the Microsoft ProClarity Analytics Server administration tool, you receive the following error message:

Server Error. XML document must have top level element.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, following these steps:

1. Open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager snap-in.
2. In the console tree, right-click Default Web Site, and then click Properties.
3. On the Home Directory tab, click Configuration.
4. On the Mapping tab of the Application Configuration dialog box, make sure that the Cache ISAPI extensions check box is selected.
