SYMPTOMS

You reply to an e-mail message by using Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access. Alternatively, you view the messages in the Sent Items folder in Outlook Web Access. When you do this, you cannot see the SMTP addresses of external contacts in the e-mail message.

Additionally, you cannot add an external sender to your personal contacts list when you reply to the e-mail message, or when you view the message in your Sent Items folder by opening the properties of the sender.

This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:

  • You installed a hotfix that contains version 6.5.7651.26 or a later version of the Davex.dll file. For example, you installed hotfix 924334.
  • You sent an e-mail message to an external contact that is not listed in the Active Directory directory service.
