SYMPTOMS

When you use a WMI Query Language (WQL) query to return the instances of a decoupled Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) provider in Microsoft Windows Server 2003, a small memory leak may occur in the WMI provider.

Note Depending on the WMI class that is supported by the provider, a memory leak of up to 20 bytes may occur for each WQL query to the decoupled WMI provider.

You experience this problem if the decoupled WMI provider does not support any WMI query levels.
