INTRODUCTION

This article describes the requirements to use Microsoft Excel Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) functions in Multidimensional Expression (MDX) queries in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services.

MORE INFORMATION

If you want to use Excel VBA functions such as ROUNDDOWN in MDX queries in SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services, you must install the following Microsoft Office features:

  • Office Excel
  • Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications


Note Visual Basic for Applications is a shared feature in Office.
