SYMPTOMS

When you use the version of the Sysprep tool (Sysprep.exe) in Microsoft Windows Server 2003 to deploy Windows Media Player 11, the Windows Media Player 11 client computer cannot acquire licenses for Digital Rights Management (DRM) content.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if a version of the OEM Preinstallation Kit (OPK) that is earlier than the OPK for Windows Media Player 11 is used to package Windows Media Player 11. Innovations in DRM technology in Windows Media Player 11 include changes to the Cleandrm.lib file. Innovations also include changes to the Sysprep.exe tool and to the Riprep.exe tool.
