SYMPTOMS

When you try to print an e-mail message by using either Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 or Microsoft Outlook Express, the message header information does not print. This problem only occurs when Windows Internet Explorer 7 is installed.

Note This problem may also occur in earlier versions of Office Outlook. However, this problem does not occur in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when the "Shrink to Fit" feature is enabled, and the size of the message is reduced in order to fit on the printed page. When this occurs, the message header is not printed.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Windows Internet Explorer 7 service pack that contains this hotfix.
