SYMPTOMS

When you try to connect to a remote server that has Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Itanium Edition installed, you experience one or more of the following issues:

  • You cannot use a domain account to connect to the remote server by using the Remote Desktop Connection feature (Mstsc.exe). When this issue occurs, the logon attempt stops responding when the user's profile is loaded.
  • You cannot use a domain account to connect to the remote server by using the Remote Desktop Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in. When this issue occurs, the logon attempt stops responding when the user's profile is loaded. This issue occurs after the remote server is restarted.
