SYMPTOMS
When you try to start an application in Microsoft SoftGrid Client, the application does not start. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
CAUSE
This issue may occur if one or more of the following conditions are true:
- The HREF element of the .osd file is configured to a UNC path, and you do not have access to the share or to the executable file.
- The FILENAME attribute of the CODEBASE element of the .osd file is configured to a UNC path, and you do not have access to the share or to the executable file.
For example, the FILENAME attribute is configured as follows:FILENAME="\\FILESERVER\SHARE\sft_ea.exe"
- The FILENAME attribute of the CODEBASE element of the .osd file is configured to start an executable file from a package root directory in the SoftGrid Client cache for a different application.
For example, the FILENAME attribute for SoftGrid Example Application 7.0 is configured as follows:FILENAME="sft_ea80.v1\Softricity\SoftGrid Example Application\sft_ea.exe"
- You try to start the application by running the .osd file. However, you do not have access to the .osd file.
